Welcome to the Stream Deck Icon Maker.

I wanted to build a tool that makes it easy to create and customize icons for your Stream Deck device, and allow anyone to customise, save and export their own icons leveraging a shared design, theme and colors across all icons in the set.

To get started, you:

1. Create a new Project from the Projects page.
   • Your current project will be saved automatically to your browser's local storage, so you don't lose your work.
   • You can see all your saved projects on this page.
   • You can also load an existing project from a JSON file in order to share your project with others.
2. Jump into the Theme Editor and create a theme shared for all your icons.
   • Select which Icon Fonts you want to load. For Google fonts you can choose if the icon is filled or not and the optical size.
   • Create a palette of saved colours for you to use consistently across your icons.
   • Define default styles such as icon and text placement/size, border size and shape.
3. Once your Theme is defined, head over to the Icons Editor, to create individual icons using your theme.
   • Each icon will inherit the theme styles, but can be overridden for complete customisation.
   • You can copy, and reorder icons as needed.
   • Your files will be named using the icon text for easy identification when exporting.

When you're done, you can save your work to a JSON file, or export your icons as PNG images using the panel in the side bar.
